3P = Perceive, Practice, and Perform
In a normal classroom, the teacher first writes something on the board.
Let the student jot it down.
Clears the board and again starts writing.
This takes time.
Further, it also causes distractions.
At Axisa Academy, we don't write anything on board, nor do we suggest students to write.
Their whole focus is on the lecture and the visuals on the smart board.
At the end of the lecture, printed notes are provided.
One can copy them down in a notebook or can keep these as printed text material.
This is the advantage of a smart board combined with smart teachers.
Another aspect of the Axisa Lecture System is: that the teacher is not required to draw a diagram or ask the student to visualize.
The use of a projector enables the teacher to provide a better perception of the subject and an effortless way for the students to remember the lectures.
A great teacher always maintains a balance between spontaneity and preparedness.
So, our Lesson Plans are designed to take care of all the definitions, information, data, images, audio, video, and relevant questions so that the teacher is free to be spontaneous making the lecture interactive and joyful.
Our Researched Lesson Plan increases the speed of learning and eliminates chances of errors.
After each lecture, students are provided worksheets to be solved in the presence of Assistant Teachers in the classroom.
Assistant teachers move around the class to reach out to every student and guide them as per their needs.
Homework assignments are provided after each lecture. Oh, what is so great about it? Every teacher does it...
But we are different.
Let’s illustrate further.
In a normal scenario, what does a student do?
Common practice is to take assignment sheets to school the next day and wait for free periods or some boring lectures and search for the back benches to solve the problems.
A little support from friends, and the homework is done.
However, this practice is incorrect as it does not provide sufficient time to develop thought-process, and the student cannot focus on the classroom lecture.
How do we tackle this at Axisa?
We make sure that students complete their homework the same day before going to bed by collecting Answer Sheets the next morning.
This costs us and is tedious, BUT it inculcates the habit of completing work by the end of the same day.
The next day, the student is free to study other subjects and focus on the lectures in school and enjoy the free periods
The Collected Answer Sheets are evaluated by trained Answer Sheet Evaluators.
In the next class, corrected answer sheets are returned to the students after discussion.
Perception: Tick
Practice: Tick
Next is: Performance
Even if a student perceives correctly, and practices enough, he might not perform in an examination because performance needs rehearsal.
We achieve this by conducting mock tests.
And our unique way of using M.S.D. makes us different.
No, MSD is not Mahendra Singh Dhoni it is Marking Scheme Discussion. The teacher discusses the marking scheme and presents it on the smart board with the help of a projector.
A student evaluates his or her own answer sheet.
Self-evaluation of answers enables them to write answers from teachers’ perspectives and this makes a hell lot of difference.
This is how the Axisa system works.
We call it the 3P System.
Perceive, Practice, and Perform.
Can one afford to miss the Axisa Experience?
